B&T were the one set of clients I couldn’t pass up to work with for their wedding. For a few weeks before I signed on for their big day, I knew I would probably have to take a leave of absence from photography. This marriage of a wonderful family made for a memorable start to a sabbatical. The best part is it left me yearning to photograph again.
The venue for B&T’s wedding was amazing. A once Free Mason’s Lodge, it is the perfect setup for an all inclusive wedding. The brick walls and rich woodwork is a timeless backdrop for a classy wedding with a country touch. If you haven’t seen the knewly remodeled Silver Fox in Streator, IL you should. Most of the character of the lodge was preserved, remade, or slightly modified to work for a reception venue, leaving it nothing short of breathtaking. Everything from the woodwork, craftsmanship, to the cryptic and sometimes secret spaces of the building made for quite a few conversation starters amongst the guests.
