One of my favorite shoots is a wedding. I currently do not cover weddings but couldn't resist for this very special couple. The bride photographed my own wedding (and did a stellar job!). She covered it right out of college with me begging her. She obliged with (now understandable) reluctance and I at the time as I had no idea what I was actually asking of her. It would be years before I would walk into the wedding photography industry. It truly takes a huge commitment, proper gear, and preparation to be prepared for a day on your heels with any possible situation thrown at you. I to this day cannot thank her enough and was happy to play such a big part in her marrying my very own brother-in-law. Officially - welcome to the Rowe name (fore you've been a part of the family longer than I have!) and thank you for letting me cover your day!
The D's both grew up in my hometown in the bottom of the mitten - also known as Michigan. They moved to the far away and gorgeous state of Colorado almost a decade ago. Having moved away from family and having had a destination wedding myself, I was so happy to find that most of the wedding guests consisted of a family of friends that had been made in Colorado by the lucky couple. Their mountainous community of friends really has become family and you could feel the love. They are certainly blessed with friendships and community. It was a beautiful, perfect day and I have never met a more entranced and happy to get married groom. The venue was absolutely breathtaking and the company even more fun. The whole weekend was a treasure and I am so glad to have been there.
